Best run I have had all week.  Not particularly fast, but I wasn't coughing up a lung.  My running partner is still quite sore but she still beats me!

I hope you are feeling better for the race tomorrow! Good luck! I hope to see you there!

BTW: Going to 7 Peaks alone IS an interesting activity to do alone. I think it's awesome you get out and do things for yourself! So did you have a good time there?

From missee on Sat, Aug 09, 2008 at 00:54:54

At 7 Peaks, I felt like I on the outside watching all these people and their fun. It was a weird, detached kind of experience, but on the other hand, it was calm and relaxing. It's not something I plan on doing very often!!!

Hey did you run Provo half? You probably got busy again huh? Im anxious to see how you did. Say hi to your running buddy for me. Good to see you two back at it.

From missee on Mon, Aug 11, 2008 at 11:51:50

Yeah, I ran Provo 1/2.

From Kim on Mon, Aug 11, 2008 at 12:00:33

Is that all you are going to say about the Provo half? I hope you had an enjoyable time. Wish I could have met you!

From missee on Mon, Aug 11, 2008 at 12:09:41

I posted more about the 1/2 on that day so I didn't want to be redundant.

I saw one guy w/ a fastrunning.com shirt, but I didn't say anything. I go to most of my races alone and sometimes I'm outgoing and just talk to anybody and everybody and sometimes I don't say a word at all. Just depends on the mood!

Doing a triathlon on August 30 and then a 10k on Sept 6 at the U and then I'm probably done racing until the marathon.

There was alot of people there and I missed seeing you so if I looked right at you and didnt say anything dont take offense. LOL

From missee on Mon, Aug 11, 2008 at 13:20:08

yeah, there were tons and tons of people. And, if you looked right at me and didn't say anything, that's ok, cuz I probably looked right at you and didn't say anything either.

I did see the two guys from my ward that were running it. I beat them both! Made me smile!

How was your race?

From walter on Mon, Aug 11, 2008 at 13:52:30

Its always nice to be the ward hero you know!? When I first moved into this area 4 years ago everyone ran around here and I could tell they wanted to know how good everyone was so our bishop made a friendly competition to everyone in our area to run the Des news 10k so we could see who the elite runners of the stake were. Luckily I won and his son came right behind be by a few seconds. He was running for Bingham HS at the time. So I got to wear the crown and title which was nice. My race was good, I had a bit of a stomach problem, but I PR'd and it was a nice day.

From missee on Mon, Aug 11, 2008 at 14:03:56

That's awesome to PR. I think I was slower by a minute or so, but considering circumstances, I'm happy w/ my time.

No one runs in my ward. I talked a couple ladies into running the other day and they could barely do three miles at an 11:00 minute pace. One of the did a 5k the other weekend and she placed 2nd in her age group. She was kinda miffed cuz her husband place 1st in his and he doesn't exercise much. Sure helped that he was the ONLY one in his age group!!! LOL

From walter on Mon, Aug 11, 2008 at 14:20:58

Thats hilarious! I have a friend who did a tri with me last year and he was 3rd out of 3 in his age group! But we didnt want to hurt his feelings and tell him that! He still talks about that. One of these days I may have to humble him!? You have done this one several times right. It was my first and they put the hill in it right? So im anxious to know how the course really was before they detoured us around the so called fire.
