This race was in Bremerton, WA.  The address listed was just an intersection.  I didn't think it would be too hard to find.  I looked it up on Mapquest!  I got to the area in plenty of time, but there was no race!  My friend and I drove around and around looking and asking people.  No one knew anything.

Finally, I saw some people about 1/2 a block away.  I jumped out of the car and ran through the intersection towards them.  About 30 seconds before I got there, I heard a horn and they all took off running!  The race had started!

I ran up to the few remaining people and said, "Was that the race?"  They said Yes, but the walk will start in just a minute.  I ripped off my sweats and jacket and said that I had already registered and where to pick up my bib #.  A guy just told me to start running and he would get me the # later.  I ran and caught up with everyone and placed 5th overall and 1st woman.  I don't have a time for my race because my Garmin wasn't ready and they didn't post them online.

Now, before you go thinkin' I'm all that and a bag of chips...............there were only 29 people in the race!  LOL  Everyone was so friendly.  The terrain was so different than what I was used to.  Lots of steep up and downs.  It was fun.
