This was a tough race.  Every year I tell myself I'm just going to run to enjoy the scenery and every  year I run as fast as I can.  It hurts at the end and I ask myself why I do it.

The weather was great.  The start was horrible.  Just too many people and I should have started closer to the start.  Their clock had me two minutes slower than my Garmin.  I posted my Garmin time instead of their time.

Avg mile pace was 8:00 min

333rd of 1767 runners

124th of 1156 women

16th or 193 for my age group.

For my level of training and the my horrible cold I had for the 10 days prior to the race, I'm very pleased w/ my time.  I would love to get 1:40 next year.

It did make me question why I signed up for a marathon.  I must be insane!!!

Sorry I didn't catch this earlier! I think you did a great job! I was nervous for you since you had been feeling so lousy! I am excited you are signed up for a marathon! It's ok to be a little insane! Good luck in the continuing training!
