This was a good race overall.  Didn't get the time I hoped for, but still pretty good.  The weather........well, it was far from ideal!  Rained most of the way, hailed some, and snowed some towards the end.

Did fairly well the first 8 miles.  Ran w/ a friend.  Couldn't have done as well w/o him pushing me along, though he claims I pushed him.  An imaginary bowling ball was tied to my ankle at mile 8.  It was all mental after that.

I was so cold when I finished.  Retrieved my wet clothes that I tied to a pole right before the race started.  Went to my car and changed clothes.  Went back and got the Magleby's breakfast!  That was yummy!  French Toast is so much better than pancakes in my humble opinion.

Next race of great importance is Echo Triathlon......67 days!

I did a "race" in March where the weather was less than desirable all day long. It rained for the majority of the day and then at one point we even had sleet/hail for about 15 minutes. I just kept on trudging along and figured I could at least tell people from now on, "I've ran in a hail storm!"

You had an awesome time, especially considering the horrible weather.

Good luck with the tri! I think I may try to do a mini one next year?? I am going to get a friend to teach me how to swim "properly" and I just went last week to the local bike shop and ordered myself a nice road bike. I'm excited for it to come in so I can actually use it!!!

That's is a great half marathon time -- I can see it is not a PR for you, but a great time nevertheless under the conditions. Good luck on the tri.
